I did a google search and found a bunch of youtube videos about it, and then went to "lockerz.com" where I found probably the best video about it.
Sounds like it's a social networking website where you can earn points for answering questions and inviting people to join. Then you can trade in the points for prizes.
Looks like it's more for the younger crowd than for old farts like me.
OfflineOk, so I got curious. I went back to their site and clicked the link to get an invitation. After putting in an email address (that I don't use much anymore) I got a message saying it may take a while to get the email invite because of how busy they are.
I went to the email account and the invitation was there already. So I signed up. What the heck, it's not like they can take my birthday away (which would actually be a blessing at my age!).
So now I've got 20 invites to give away too… If you want one, send a PM with the email address you want it sent to. Altho, really, you can get one almost instantly from the logon page that comes up if you go to lockerz.com.
The site looks like a blog, with the options to watch videos and shop for stuff.
Here, this is from their "About" page:
"Lockerz is an invitation-only website created to connect members through commerce, content and social networking. Once invited, you'll be able to watch exclusive video, buy great products, discover new music, play games, and connect with friends. You'll be able to do this all in one place, AND you'll get rewarded for just doing the things you love. When you watch a video, play a game, or even log in, you'll earn Pointz (or "PTZ") Lockerz own form of currency. Turn around and redeem your PTZ for incredible merchandise, unique experiences and exclusive deals and sales."
It also says altho they are in "pre-launch" mode right now, they expect to go live sometime early in 2010. At that time their "pointz" system will change, according to the "About" page.

As Wheezer said it is really easy to get an invite now.
OfflineRefpeuk: If you go to youtube and type "lockerz proof" in the search box you get pages of videos that are suppose to offer proof.
Whether or not that's actual proof though is of course in question. I don't consider it proof, and won't believe it unless I get some great item in the mail. Which won't happen, because I'll probably never be back on their site again. Unless it's to close the account I opened last night.
I have heard first hand from my 2 friends who play on Lockerz that the prize claiming is a very hectic process. They say only those "specially priveledged" members get first dibs on the prizes. So by the time most members try to redeem prizes(from points), they will have already run out. This is why I won't be trying Lockerz out. For those willing to give it a go, tell me if you encounter this problem.

Yea, I've given up all hope of trying to get a prize before the official opening. You've got about an hour window of opportunity at a random time each month to get in before they run out of everything, so its really all luck. They say that once they open everything will always be in stock (but also the prices will go up) but I find that hard to believe…
i think it's a pretty easy thing, it takes 5 min if you take your time. You get 2 PTZ (lockerz currency) when you log in, once a day, and write an answer, usually just a sentence or a couple of words, to get another 2 points. 4 points a day.
I'm willing to spend 5 min every day to get these points, and if a prize comes my way, even better.
In short: good way to waste a few min :)
Should be even better when they open the site fully, there are meant to be "music and chat" functions.

The term "pre-launch" applied to a site that requires invites and accumulated points to earn "prizes" seems flaky. Users may wind up just being beta testers for a potentially commercial operation. None of it makes sense, imho. ymmv.
I agree, it does set off a person's internal BS alarm.
"ymmv"? Haven't seen that one before, what's it mean?
