OfflineA little skeptical, but still think it could be really neat. I think a lot of magazine publishers are going to be creating interactive magazines unlike what you could do with the Kindle since e-ink has a much slower refresh rate.
But Apple is really good at inspiring hype and love for it's products. I know that I thought it looked really fun. But only time will tell if enough people can justify it at that price point (especially those who already have iPhones and MacBooks).
A few friends and I were discussing this- we all agree we want it, and that Facebook will be great on it, and that it really is just a glorified iPod Touch. I commented that the iPod Touch line shouldn't be an iPod line at all, it's so much more. I thought that they should be iTouchs.
iTouch 1G
iTouch 2G
iTouch 3G
iPhone 1st gen
iPhone 2nd gen
iPhone 3rd gen
iTouch Pad 1st gen

That WOULD make more sense, especially since and ipod touch can be jailbroken to do almost anything a normal pda can do. It doesn't really fit in the class of ipod.
If it weren't for the ipod touch we wouldn't be saying that this thing looks like a big ipod. This thing looks like it can do whatever we would need a tablet like this to do. IMHO
OfflineIt doesn't come with a stylus, but you can get one for it. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-10443415-233.html

OfflineNice looking "Toy." Just not my cup of tea tho. If I spend that much on a toy, it'd better make a bang noise a second before a pop can sitting on a stump about fifty yards away jumps off the stump. But that's just me.
Power to those who buy one. May it be every bit as fun as you hope it is!
