I think I see what the issue is: the link appeared/appears on New Article emails but not on New Comment emails...:-).....I hadn't realized the two types of emails had different links at the bottom:

New Article emails have http://dottech.org/e-mail-notifications-one-email-per-day/ at the bottom.

New Comment emails have http://dottech.org/comment-subscriptions?sre=janetb%40012.net.il&srk=a0a408657ae40073bae539f4c5fb5276 at the bottom.

I was trying to get to the notifications categories from a New Comment email, which I now see one was never able to do.

Is there a way to get to the notifications categories (not Subscriptions or Subscription categories) from the site i.e., not from a New article email?

Thanks for your help!

How can we get to the Email Reminders categories options page? There used to be a link at the bottom of every email, but now the bottom-page link takes us to Subscriptions. I was never able to find a link to Email Reminders on the site--I got to it today by using the link at the bottom of an old dottech email.....

The link at the end of each e-mail is still there. There are two links, one that takes you to the categories page while the other takes you to the subscription page. Use the link after "If you want to unsubscribe or change what articles you are e-mailed about, please visit:".

Hi A!

Why are there two full Leave a Response sections?

The top section is to encourage people to leave a response, makes it easier than having to scroll to the bottom of the comments. The bottom section is for when people are surfing the comments and decide to leave a response.

@Everyone: Thanks for the kind words!

Neat new layout Glad is doesn't look like Win7

One thing though: these last few days the small pictures next to each item on (e.g.) Windows Software of the Day remain small while formerly these were enlarged by clicking on them. I hope this feature will be restored.

Thanks for a nice site; I've enjoyed it for many years now. Keep up the good work.

As a long time visitor to DotTech I can't say I welcome change. However it isn't too massive a change so I'll probable keep checking in to see what's happening. Like many, I miss the GOTD reviews, but I can understand that the time taken on those reviews must have been substantial.

It would be nice to see Ashraf write in depth reviews on commercial software. Not only would it benefit users but the feedback would also help developers of such software make improvements.

If Ashraf was a staff writer for any of the major websites such as Cnet, I'm sure he would soon attract many dedicated readers.

All the best,
