The area reserved for free advertising of commercial software for free is taken up by Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2010 Suite and it is not rather a giveaway but a regular ad. Is this a mistake or have they betrayed you Ashraf?

It's still a space for paid advertising…  it's just in addition to regular ads.

Oh, the site that was :(

Locutus is right, paid advertisements can also go there (althought currently they are all filled with free ads). However, the Paragon ad is still via the free advertising initiative. While some developers may decide to link to giveaways, the ads that go there do not necessarily have to link to dotTech giveaways. The idea is that the developer gets an ad spot which they can use to advertise whatever they want. If they want to link to a giveaway, fine. If they want to link to something else, that is fine too.

I'm actually not. I wish developer would buy ad spots, but no one has right now. The only ads that I am making money off right now are AdSense ads, which don't make near as much money as if I sold the same ad spots to developers.

Well, regardless of where or how Ahraf makes some $$ here, it can never be too much! In fact, for all the help, education, freebies, free advice, & even some technical support when he can, Ashraf has literally given away so much for free to us, that others would have charged $$$$$$$$

Adding the serious talk with a sense of humor makes it even more valuable! Overall then, IMHO, what Ashraf provides = priceless!
