I wouldn't be concerned Locutus (which I hope you aren't). Work vs reward on this topic would be pretty low. IMHO.
If admins moved every comment that was off the main topic or better fit into another thread, that's all you'd be doing all day. It just ain't worth it. Not to mention that the threads would get all chopped up and would be hard to follow.

I know I haven't posted enough to have earnt a custom rank, but that's not going to stop me asking for one anyway :-p
Would it be possible to get a custom rank of "CareBear Anarchist" ?
That's been one of my personal philosophies for quite some time now and it would be nice to have it as a forum rank.
and for those wondering what is a "CareBear Anarchist"?
I don't know about the rest of them, but for me it goes something like:
"As a CareBear Anarchist I believe in the destruction and overthrow of the perils of society through random and senseless acts of consideration and kindness"
it's basically an offshoot of the "freak people out, be nice to them" school of thought
