Last time Steve Jobs left (was sacked from?) Apple, then Apple plunged, both its products and its stock. I expect they have a better structure and strategy this time.

Tim Cook has been the defacto CEO this whole year. The only difference now is that it is official.

As much as I hate to say this, I think Apple will live on. I find it hard to believe how one person's leave can have such a drastic effect on a big and prosperous company. That is, unless Tim Cook messes up badly… and all of a sudden Apple fanboys turn to dust…
