Do you think learning a third language(or second in case English is your first) is valuable or why bother as pretty much Everyone speaks English nowadays? Which foreign language is most beneficial to learn? If you could learn any language in the world which language would it be?

Hi friends,

The most spoken language?… We usually think that English is the most spoken in the world but is that really true? Well it happens to be that Mandarin is the most spoken, why? Just think of it, China makes up about 1/3 of the world population and, yes, English is widely spoken but I guess that we are a little conceited and can only see "our world". You know what I mean. Here in the USA, what language should you learn,  I would have to say that Spanish would be a good idea considering the Latino population which has grown considerably in the last decade.

The 'main' languages spoken in Europe itself are:

  • German
  • Russian
  • French
  • English
  • Italian
  • Spanish

…. so, sure, it's a good idea to learn more languages. The more the better. I myself, am fluent in Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) and of course English. More languages more doors to different cultures and more knowledge is always a good thing. Nobody can take that away so, give it a try. You won't regret it. And thank God for "spell check", you know what mean, ha ha.

Please let me know what you think. Have a good day…..

George…. Cool

Thanks, George Melendez  k3456355.jpg

I have learned Japanese and I think this kind of language is very interesting. And it is easier to learn than French.
