About a month ago or longer I downloaded AVG after reading a review of it on here. Problem is instead of it being AVG anti-virsus somehow I got the link scanner. Problem is I can't get rid of it. I have used itt's own uninstaller and the next day it is back and even after uninstalling it it still shows in the program list I have used the and remove programs option of windows and the same thingg. plus after you uninstall it , and select the uninstall option (it's own) from AVG 2011 in the program list it says it is not installed(error msg) but the next day there it is again in the startup. So how can I get rid of this?

@Elric: Have you tried "AVG Remover" ? I have used it successfully to remove all the AVG 2011 components. It's available at: http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools.
