OfflineAfter an auto Win7 update, I started getting this error message
It does it on restarts and reboots.
I do a work around and just hit any key and iit goes right into windows without any problems.
I have searched the web for answers but to no avail, it seems this is a common problem with no solutions.
I posted it on MS techy site but I only got one response from their "experts/professional" that basically said "the fact that this occurred after an update was probably just a coincidence"
Has anyone encountered this problem? Any suggestions.
OH BOY 1 + 1

OfflineThis is very interesting… Your bootloader might be corrupted. You can try running Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition (http://www.paragon-software.com/home/rk-express/) and using their Boot Corrector to see if that fixes the issue.

OfflineThank you for responding Ashraf. From my search on the net, it appears that this seems to be a prob for other folks too and no one has an answer, I thought I would just live with the annoyance just as you suggested.
I have learned a lot since joining this site but BIOS stuff is waaaay over my head. I think I will leave well enough alone. I really do appreacite your help.
And if there is ANYTHING that I learned from being on this site it is BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP.

I have that down pat, backing up to an external. Also have repair and a recovery disks.

PS. The article has easy to understand pictures.
OfflineGUESS WHAT!!!
I decided to go in and take a look at the BIOS setup screen, it all looked like GREEK
to me so in order to get out
I hit F5/setup defaults and F10 to save and exit.
Got no error message and it went right into windows.
So I thought this must be just a fluke.
I rebooted several times restarts and shut downs
Each time no error message and it directly into windows.
I have no idea why that fixed it but I am glad it did.
Hopefully this will help someone else who has this annoying problem.
Putting on my techy hat.
