hello!
i have a flash usb disk of 8 GB it worked for a while and i put files on it. suddenly 1 day i connected it to my computer and started it. and the computer gives me: "the disk is not formatted, do you want to format it now" i answered "no". and then i saw the drive is empty? when i click "propertied" strangly it seems that there isnt something on it (0KB) and there isnt space (0KB) and the flie system is "RAW"? what?
what can i do? how can i get my files back? the files have been deleted? is there a table of content that was deleted? how can i get this table back? can i restore only a table to get out the files? please help me!!

Simply reformat your USB disk…go to Computer…

Right-click on your USB drive name and choose Format…

Choose Restore device defaults…

Most probably the default file system would be FAT…simply let it be like that and press Start…if you wish you can choose/tick on Quick format option.

That should be it…you should be able to use your USB disk…as for your files, you can use a freeware recovery program to retrieve your lost files…just cross your fingers and hope you get back your 'lost' files…Laugh

  1. Run DiskDigger on your USB to see if you can get anything right now. If you can save it to your computer.
  2. Format your USB like hahaguy has explained.
  3. Run DiskDigger again to see if you can recover anything more.
