So my tb external hard drive seems to have corrupted.  It shows the correct total storage and storage used, but when I open it there is nothing there.  So I need something to recover the data.  Luckily, its just an external drive and I do have another drive with enough space to store the entire partition while it is being restored.  So any suggestions?

Are you looking to recover everything on the external? Use http://dottech.org/freeware-reviews/10756. If you want more pinpoint recovery http://dottech.org/freeware-reviews/8643 is better. And there are many other programs that I can't think of off the top of my head right now.

Well hey looks like it was a flase alarm.  I reset my computer and everything showed up again.  Thanks Ashraf, your a miracle worker. Laugh
