I have emsisoft anti-malware with current update. after the last update around 1 hour ago…emsisoft act weird. Some game coming from Sandlot detected as malware (which is not detected when the game downloaded a few weeks ago). And some program coming from dottech is also detected as a trojan. For example SOG DVD Ripper Platinum detected as Trojan Downloader Win32.Hilldor/IK

Is this false positive or what?

My Anti Malware version is 5.0.50

I also report that after the last update, a notebook with win 7-64bit (the new version is supposed to officially support 64b), started hanging and being very very slow.

When I exit the guard the system returns back to normal bahavior.

I checked their support forum at http://support.emsisoft.com/forum/7-anti-malware-mamutu/ and indeed there are a lot of reports for sam or similar attitude…

I am temporarily disable it totally until a solution is found.

Note: I had it along with Avast and there were no problems (with some features off).

@sunrise: It’s okay. This is the purpose of the Tech Support problems.

There is no problem with Sog DVD Ripper – both Malwarebytes, ClamWin and NOD32 said it was clean.

@sunrise: You don’t really have to report the false positive – someone/the developers of Sog DVD ripper would report it sooner or later. But, if you insist on reporting, the main .exe file of the program and its affiliated .dll/.ocx files should be submitted also.

@adrian : actually….the one detected as malware is the installer…dunno why

and some installer from sandlot is detected also…

well….i think no need to report false positive since there is not only 1-2 installer detected as malware (too lazy hahahaha)

thanks for the advice :D
