Suddenly, overnight, I can no longer cut-and-paste using the Control hotkeys. Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix it?

@Jivadas: Can you please try typing character C, V and X on notepad to see if keyboard keys are working. Alternatively you can try creating a new user profile and check if Ctrl commands works.

Well, no. The note on Sharpkeys specifically states that it does not work for two-key entries, "such as moving Ctrl-C to F6." So I'm still looking for a solution.

As a temporary solution, until you figure out how to fix it, you may want to try to use a hotkey program like Comfort Keys to reset them.
