When you restart and tried Alt+Tab, it only appears in a flash and gone. When the window disappears and I try to restart the installation I get a message saying it is already running.Bcoz your app is crashing, better, dnld process explorer by Microsoft from Sysinternals.com,see the processes and KILL the process running, but not showing on screen.Looks the same problem you had earlier before formatting. Is windows CD corrupt,it becomes after sometime and some system files are dead and it always shows errors.Have you tried F secure rootkit or GMER rootkit. Finally, best method is dnld reimage setup,in two min. you will have system OK through its site.Next time 65 dollars, immediately install a good Internet sec soft like KIS 2010,Norton etc.You are looking into Task Manager app. tab, look into processes tab.Either defective Xp or trojan/virus

Can anyone please help me with this problem which is getting me realy mad.

Whenever I try installing (anything) the installation window minimizes to the taskbar or disappears completely. I tried Alt+Tab, it only appears in a flash and gone. When the window disappears and I try to restart the installation I get a message saying it is already running. I have to go to windows task manager and close it. Sometimes it is not even there, just have to restart my PC

Now a new problem, when I browse the net using (Firefox) it shuts down as well.

Also if i open (windows task manager) it will disappear. Have to work on it realy fast.

What can I do to solve these problems?

Had the same problem sometime back, just did a format and reinstalled Windows.

Ameerad

Awaiting a response from Anybody who can help!
