OfflineIs there software that can tell me what programs are accessing the internet? Not just DNS or whatever, but actually tell me the "programs" so a computer illiterate can understand?
I've turned off all processes in the process manager, the antivirus programs, exited from the browser but something is still sending and receiving data.
I have dialup and Windows XP if that matters.
Thanks for any help.
OfflineHave you checked your firewall? I haven't tried these but they may help,
BTW do you have a network also ?? (computers, players and other products connected on the computer). They can also use your internet connection :O)
AND
Is it a wireless connection or do you have the possibility to use wireless connection, if so please check these settings and maybe chance the password to it, switch the wireless sender off and then on (this you have to do because some are already connected to the wireless connection, so you in that way switch them off and the next time they try they do not have the password
)
If it is a network you have, these are also using the in and out connection card to the computer and these can take some of the power of the connections.
let me know
