So this started about a couple days ago.
I would open up my mozilla firefox and well my home page [yahoo.com] would be in i dont know what it is called exactly but here is a short description:
instead of how the site would normally look, it is distorted and everything, the site, the links, everything comes down in a list of blue links, and then black description.

now i just restarted the computer and apparently the problem has disappeared, however i noticed something. On the home page yahoo, in the top left there is a yahoo logo that sometimes turns into things [like a dog jumping around, etc]. when i right clicked it before i would see movie not loaded, however now i see Adobe Flash PLayer 10.2.159.1…. and a bunch of other options.
luckily as i am typing this the situation has regressed on yahoo.com..here is a picture:

i don't know how to change this back.. it is quite weird and the main problem seems to be yahoo.com..
I tried by myself to fix it.
i reinstalled the browser, I restarted the computer [which temporarily solved it for a minute or so] , and now i have come to dottech.
thanks guys

I have had similar problems with some websites.
I put it down to the site getting only partly loaded by the web browser – either due to a slow connection speed my end and sometimes I know the site itself is 'going slow' and not loading (their problem, not yours).
If you get that problem with yahoo.com and you know your current download speed is good, but other sites are loading ok i'd guess that the yahoo.com site is experiencing problems (or your ISP is experiencing problems with that site?)
something like that.
maybe ?
(yes, that the cue for more knowledgeable people to step in and give proper answers :-p )
thanks for the reply.. i guess what you are saying does make sense.. but the fact that it is multiple sites sort of throws me off. like youtube.com also did the same thing… but then again when you think about it.. it is highly possible for these things to happen… But my guess to the solution would be to wait it out?
[like right now i don't have any problems with the site]
**but this also brings another problem.. why does Chrome and Internet Explorer show the site "normally" and firefox doesn't?
It appears that your stylesheets aren't loading.
This is generally a problem that occurs with either slow download speed on your end, slow server speed, or high packet loss.
The second is not very likely: it's happening on lots of high-profile sites hosted in many different locations. The first is also probably easily dismissible: you don't say anything about slow download speeds, and in cases like this, the browser would just take longer as it downloads the stylesheet.
Try the Ping Test and post a link to your results:

i did have to disable my firewall to get the packet loss score, but other than that it's fine… ill rememebr doing this if the problem occurs again. thanks
The next thing I would try would be to see if you can replicate the same results using a different browser. I'd personally recommend trying Chrome (if just for testing), or if you hate being anonymously tracked, SRWare Iron (http://www.srware.net/en/softw…..e_iron.php).
If the results are the same in both browsers, I'd start looking for either hardware problems (your router, your ISP, your ethernet cable, etc) or firmware problems (your drivers).
Good luck
EDIT: whoops, you just said Chrome & IE displayed it fine.
