Thanks so much! I downloaded the portable version of Ccleaner to another machine and put it on a jump drive. It worked great in Safe Mode - took out all the junk files. My machine is working wonderfully now. I'm very, very happy.

Thanks again.

I installed TA 5.0 when it was offered on GAOTD on 1 November. A few days later both the mouse and the keyboard started being disfunctional - so much so that neither would work in normal windows (XP Pro SP3).I re-booted into safe mode and un-installed TA 5.0 and a couple of other progs. I didn't think I needed. The keyboard and mouse both work perfectly in safe mode. I think there must be some residual files left wandering around afte the uninstall that need to be deleted. My problem is that I have no idea which files need to go and how to properly find them. HELP!!!
