Good Morning,

I had to re-install windows and now my boot.ini shows "windows XP" and on the next line "default" (that doesn't work).  I tried to edit it but the "default" line does not show up.  How do I get rid of that so I don't have to babysit my boot in order to select the "windows XP"?

Thanks for your help!

Open up msconfig (press Win+R, type msconfig, hit enter) and go to the Boot tab.

Look for the one that is the incorrect one (it should be the one that does not say "Current OS" next to it) and hit delete.

Please post here if this worked! Laugh

Oh, the site that was :(
