Prema said
thanks for the suggestion Jayesstee, but it was already on automatic… hmm, maybe I'll put it to delayed start?

Sorry, it was a bit obvious. Here's another obvious one, how about 'System File Checker?

My way is: "sfc /scannow" in an elevated 'run command'.

If that fails, then you could use a batch file to start the spooler either on boot-up or just when you want to print. The latter is what I did until I figured out the 'automatic' switch.

The command is: "net start spooler".

That's me clean out of suggestions!

Hi Prema, glad to know you got Win 7 up and running.

I had the same spooler problem a while ago. What I did was to go into Services.msc, find 'Print Spooler', 'right-click' the entry and select 'Properties'. In the 'General' tab there is a window across the center, labeled 'Startup type'. I changed this to: 'Automatic' and since then (crossed fingers) no print spooler problems.

If you haven't already done this, worth a try?

Hey gyhuguys.

So as some know, i recently did a clean install on my Window computer to windows 7. (from Vista).

Anyway, it's all been running, fine, but for hte last day or so, something odd ahas goingbeen going on with my printer spooler.

Somehow or other it would just Stop so i would have to go into Services.msc and then restart it. Not a huge hassle, but I don't like doing it again and again.

Any solutions?

I'll run an anti-virus/anti- malware today, but my Avast hasn't picked up anything to my knowledge.

thanks dottechies!
