<p>Anyway, I've found the solution to the problem! It's in the form of K-Lite Codec Pack plus the KMPlayer. The KMPlayer looks really cool actually. Thanks for the feedback.</p>

<p>It's free and it installs nicely.  Converts .trp from FTA into AVI and<br />
can manipulate or create DVD from there.   The program "looks" like it<br />
hangs when you try and do the conversion but you need to let it run and<br />
do  it's thing to demux. It might take an hour or so of "just waiting"<br />
but it' actually working.</p>
