I have a usb flash drive that only can be written on with one computer and it will not allow me to reformat it. I know the error that comes up says the disk is write protected. I do not know what the problem is but was hoping someone here could help me with a solution to the problem. Thanks in advance.

Update: I used check disk on it and then I could reformat it. After I reformatted it I was able to save something to it with the other xp machine but still not on the vista machines. Can anyone suggest anything to try?
