OfflineRunning Vista on my 18 month old laptop, last few weeks have been unable to download software (i.e., Giveaway of the Day software) because the download starts fine, then the transfer rate immediately starts dropping and gradually the rate drops to zero and the transfer grinds to a halt. Have tried download using I.E. and using Google Chrome, with same result. Music downloads from Amazon work fine, no other (known) problems with my pc. Any idea what to do to fix the download problem? Thanks! (BTW @Ashraf: Thank you for your excellent product reviews!!!)
OfflineHi styler. When I had this same problem I found it to be an internet provider problem and you can use http://www.speedtest.net to check if the speed you are getting is the same as what you pay for. My last IP used to slow and cycle between 0 -30 mb so I found one ten times faster for the same price and the only times I now experience slowdowns is public holidays and mornings between 7am and 8.30 am. due to line congestion. SPEEDTEST can show you all the speeds for different countries and your speed and test your downloads and suggest better IP deals. hope this helps.
