Microsoft is also supplying for their server windows a virtual pc with windows 7. <p>i want to install W7 in Volume D just to see if its compatable with my system before doing a clean installation. but during installation when i select drive D it says " Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space.The partition contains one or more dynamic volumes that are not supported for installation ". currently my volumes are:- C:(39 GB), D:(39 GB),E:(48.8 GB),F: (65.8 GB) and H : (40 GB- for back up).all of these are NTFS dynamic.i started disk management.On D after right click i selected remove volume.it formatted and displayed Unallocated 39 GB.again right clicked and the executable option i get is New Simple Volume.How should i convert it to Basic???Right click on Disk 0 (dynamic 232 GB)the option convert to basic is also not enabled.how to proceed???pls advise.??? screen shot is here</p>
