It has the advantage of being the fastest browser I've ever used. I've tried to like FF, but I find it slow to start up and it relies heavily on add-ons for many functions already built into Avant (and Maxthon, another good IE-derived browser). Since both FF and the many add-ons are updated frequently, the need to check for add-on compatibility and updates just slows things down further. Plus, there are so many add-ons that perform the same function that choosing the "perfect" one is very time-consuming. So what many uses see as a FF strength just annoys me. I'd just rather just have a pretty good function built in.
I am undecided about Chrome. I like its speed and simple interface, and I have had zero crashes with it, but maybe it's too spartan. Plus, it seems to be following the same path as FF, in that there are a growing number of add-ons available for Chrome, many of which are ports of the FF add-ons.

I have been using the Chrome beta releases for several months and never had a problem. I let it automatically update itself, which I do not do for most programs I have.

But I never try any beta's---I don't have the experience or $$$$$$$$$ to fix any serious errors that are almost certain to arrise--hence the free beta is for those brave (or naive Wink) souls &/or have exp or $$$$$$$$ to help report bugs & crashes--so when they release the fixed-up better version, others won't have to endure the problems.
