I've got one better for you–I installed jv16's new 2011 (don't go to CNET, they don't have it yet) in a different folder from the 2009 version I got from a previous offer and the 2011 install deleted all of the 2009 one except for one thing – you guessed it, the license. Better yet, it recognized that license and seems to be very happy with it despite its being twice as old as the example reported in the other post above. This one may not be officially sanctioned like that one, but hey, WTF, I didn't write the software or do something they shouldn't expect.

Great news: jv16 PowerTools 2011 is out.

From macecraft.com:

”If you have purchased jv16 PowerTools 2010 in December 2010 or later, you can update to PowerTools 2011 without any upgrade fee, your existing license will work with the new version. ”

Isn't this wonderful?! This also means that if you grabbed promo for jv16 PowerTools 2010 posted by Locutus on February 11th, 2011 you can really upgrade for free – the 2011 version accepts 2010's license file. I tested and it works.

Well done 3K3! Installs perfectly with the 2010 licence.xbin file. Power to dotTech.

It really works but it would be a good idea to store the old licence first because if you would like to install in the previous folder, the licence will pverwrite and it becomes a trial. I have done this mistake but i had kept the licence on a safe place. So I had copy the file back and it becomes a full version.

Sorry for my English! Greatings from Germany,
