Must have dropped the Mac while running.

If they're asking for ID information, they didn't catch him. Laugh

But how do we know you're the real Locutus? You could be trying some dirty underhanded trick to get us to give you his personal info.
(I'll give you his name, address, and phone number for $20)

I'll contact you via PM.

(kidding, kidding.)

Well my Hackintosh is almost back up online--after the failed 10.6.2 update, it kernel panicked on boot, so I had to wipe the drive.  So now, I've:

  • Reinstalled
  • Fixed up the dock (it has loads of default icons)
  • Installed the compatibility packages for it to work right on the 1525.

and now I am:

  • Installing iLife '09
  • Installing 10.6.1

Wish me luck :/

Ya know what?  No more Safari 5 for me.  No.  It just won't work.  Every time I try to install an update that's 10.6.2 or above, the computer is hosed.  So, four times now.  No.  I'm staying at 10.6.1.

Here are some steps for a fix:

1. Head over to your nearest Apple store.

2. Tell them you would like to buy a brand new 8-core Mac Pro with 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid state HDD.

3. Give them a lot of money.

4. Take your brand new Mac home and set it up.

5. Install Safari 5.
