I backup all my folders and docs on to an external hard drive. Will GFI erase those if backed up on to that drive? As in, use the drive solely for its own backup? I tried to use it and thought I had done everything properly, but when I tried to restore after a recent crash, it seems I had botched it. It didn't work. I know it's meant to be simple (but apparently the only thing simple is me), and I did read the help file. But I obviously got confused somewhere along the line. I backup my folders on a regular basis, but that's no real help when the whole system goes down and I have to reinstall everything. There's a day of my life I can't get back.
