Microsoft removes 2.5 million download cap on Windows 7 Beta

Title says it all:
Due to an enormous surge in demand, the download experience was not ideal so we listened and took the necessary steps to ensure a good experience. We have clearly heard that many of you want to check out the Windows 7 Beta and, as a result, we have decided remove the initial 2.5 million limit on the public beta for the next two weeks (thru January 24th). During that time you will have access to the beta even if the download number exceeds the 2.5 million unit limit.
Microsoft totally dropped on the ball on Window 7 Beta's release and it is nice that they are trying to make up for it. At least no more fighting for product keys.

Hi Ashraf, my experience with the beta has not been very good….Three Black Screen Errors, multiple software installations failed and now after not being able to view a web page in IE, I stupidly clicked the Diagnose Connect Problems button. Now when I bring up IE, I get the same message for every single page.
I installed Firefox and it’s working perfectly.
I sent feedback to microsoft, but I don’t know whether they respond to these, or just put them in a database for review.
I know this is a beta, but why doesn’t Winmail work??. it’s on the hard drive under C:\Program Files\Windows Mail, clicking on winmail.exe does nothing.
And by the way, if you download the Live Essential Pack and choose Mail as one of the options, it’s not mentioned here, but I found it on the Windows Live site and there’s a note under the Mail program that states….*Requires a Yahoo! Plus account.
Thought you and other users should be aware of that.
