What exactly is a “gaming laptop”. Well normally when you think of a gaming laptop, you think of something that’s big and bulky. But with technology changing rapidly, that’s no longer true. Razer has just announced a couple of new gaming laptops. A 14-incher and a 17-incher.

The 17-inch notebook is called the Razer Blade Pro and has a 1080p display, Haswell-based Intel CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 graphics RAM. It also includes a 128GB SSD with the option to upgrade to a 256GB or 512GB SSD. It also has 8GB of RAM, dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi and a user-configurable Switchblade trackpad with buttons. This is all packed into a 0.88″ thick laptop which weighs about 6.58 lbs. The price for this one starts at about $2,299.

The new 14-inch Razer Blade comes with the Haswell CPU as well, along with a Nvida GeForce GTX 765M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, dual-band Wifi, and 8GB of RAM. It’s packing a 1600×900 resolution display instead of a 1080p one. It’s about 0.66-inches thick and weighs about 4.1 lbs. The price for this one starts at about $1800.

Both of these are expected to be shipping in Q2, after Intel’s circa-Computex launch of its Haswell processors. How many of you are interested in these new gaming laptops/notebooks from Razer?
