How to unroot and lock the bootloader in OnePlus One [Guide]

OnePlus-One [1]The OnePlus One is one of the coolest smartphones to come out over the last couple of years. It did come pre-loaded with CyanogenMod, but unfortunately that partnership when pear-shaped not long ago. Still, they are bringing a second edition soon which will hopefully be popular enough to ditch the requirements one must have to purchase the device such as the initial invite system. If you already followed our guide on how to root the OnePlus One [2] and are wishing to return the device back to stock Android with the system internals locked again you can do that by following the guide below.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

HOW TO USE THE TOOLKIT TO UNROOT THE ONEPLUS ONE SMARTPHONE WITH EASE

  1. Download and install the Java if your computer isn’t up to date already.
  2. Restart the computer if you did the fresh installation of Java.
  3. Click the executable file for installing the toolkit on your desktop.
  4. Click the button which says download ADB drivers, followed by installing ADB drivers.
  5. Click the option that says Enter Fastboot/Recovery Mode.
  6. Choose the OEM lock option.
  7. It should automatically reboot the device by itself when it’s finished locking the device.

Cheers! You are now working with a locked device without any root access, just the way the device manufacturer intended.
