How to root Galaxy S6 SM-G920T T-Mobile in Android 5.0 Lollipop [Guide]

samsung-s6 [1]The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the new smartphone everyone in the Sammy business is counting on lifting them out of the current funk they are in after last year’s S5 flopped. The great news is that if you liked the S5 you will undoubtedly love the S6 as it’s definitely better than its predecessors. If you are the proud owner of any of these Sammy phones and would like to open the ports with root access you can do that by following the guide below.

REQUIREMENTS

BEFORE WE BEGIN

HOW TO ROOT THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 G920T (T-MOBILE) RUNNING ANDROID 5.0 LOLLIPOP

1. Download the rooting file from here [3].

2. Download the Odin version from here [4].

3. Extract both packages to the desktop of the computer.

4. Run the Odin tool so it’s working on the desktop.

5. Boot the Samsung Galaxy S6 in Download Mode by pressing the Volume Down + Power + Home buttons together and pressing the Power button again if you see the Android logo.

6. Connect the S6 to the computer using the USB cable.

7. Click the PDA button in the Odin application and upload the executable rooting tar.md5 file extension from the extracted content on the desktop.

8. Click the Start button and wait until the flashing is done.

The S6 will reboot when it’s done. Now you are free to unplug the cable and take control of the smartphone and your Google account again.
