How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop [Guide]

galaxy-note-4It’s time to root Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F smartphones on the current Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update so you can have full control of your device and install many more apps from the Google Play Store. With the new apps, you can learn how to overclock your CPU or lower the CPU for better battery performance. You can also do thousands of other things with other apps.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The rooting package is based on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop with firmware build number LRX22C.N910FXXU1BOB4. You must downgrade to that firmware build to root your device.
  • The following guide is made for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with the model number SM-N910F only. Should you choose to install the rooting file found in this guide on another device, you will likely brick that device.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

  • Download the Samsung USB Drivers for mobile phones or else you might not get the device working with the Odin flashing tool.
  • You must have an unlocked Samsung galaxy Note 4 bootloader before using this guide or else you will brick the device.
  • You must have the Developer Options menu unlocked and then enter the Developer Options to enable the USB Debugging Mode. Once that is done, you can connect it to the computer.
  • You do void the Samsung warranty for you Note 4 when you apply these steps. You can unroot most devices to get the warranty working again, but that doesn’t work if your device has Samsung Knox security. Those with Knox security do not get the warranty back.

HOW TO ROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4 SM-N910F ON ANDROID 5.1.1 LOLLIPOP

  • Download the CF-Root file for your Note 4 from this link.
  • Download the latest Odin flashing tool version from this link.
  • Extract both files on the desktop of your computer by moving the mot the desktop and then right-clicking over the files and choosing the option that says “extract here”.
  • Now that you have the files extracted, double-click the Odin flashing tool file and it should open on your Windows PC.
  • Reboot the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in download mode.
  • Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to the computer using the USB cable.
  • Clikc the PDA or AP button and now browse the desktop for the CF-Root file — remember this is the extracted file we are talking about.
  • Once loaded, click the Start button from the Odin user-interface without adjusting any of “Odin’s default settings.
  • After some minutes the Odin tool will give you the pass message from the message box and your Samsung Galaxy Note device will automatically reboot by itself.
  • Once the device reboots, yo are ready to take control of your Google account again and star installing the apps you have been waiting for all this time.
