How to root Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T710) on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop [Guide]

Galaxy-Tab-S2-1 [1]These are the guidelines to root Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. You can check what software version your device is running from the About Device menu that is part of your devices operating system. You can usually find it available after scrolling down from the Settings menu.




  1. Download the CF-Root tool from this link [3].
  2. Download the Odin flashing tool to your computer from this link [4].
  3. Open the Downloads folder on your Windows computer and click and drag the two files over to your desktop.
  4. Right-click over each of the files and select the “extract here” option from the menu.
  5. Double-click the Odin executable file to get the Odin user-interface open on the desktop.
  6. Reboot the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to download mode by pressing the Volume Down + Home + Power after a reboot.
  7. Connect the Tab S2 to the computer using the USB cable.
  8. The ID: COM port should light up with a color if your drivers are working.
  9. Click the PDA or the AP button from your Odin user-interface.
  10. Upload the CF-Auto-Root executable file from the extracted folder.
  11. Click the Start button and wait a few minutes for the Odin flashing tool to flash the rooting exploit to your device.
  12. Soon you will get the pass message from the Odin user-interface and your device will reboot automatically.
  13. Those of you without the Auto Reboot box checked must reboot the device manually.
