What is one of the best ways to market a product? Show it in action. What is the best way to prove to the public that your IPS displays are of touch-notch, “lifelike” quality? How about… troll elevator passengers.
LG wanted to show the world that their IPS monitors are “lifelike”. So they proceeded to replace the floor of an elevator with a bunch of LG IPS monitors. (They didn’t actually replace the floor per se — the monitors are on top of the floor.) Then when people rode the elevator, the monitors showed a floor dropping animation, essentially showing the passengers what they would see if the elevator had no floor. And, as I’m sure you can guess, it scared the crap out of most everyone. Check it out:
