I am not sure how it works in other countries, but here in the United States we have something called ‘STOP’ signs. These signs are typically at intersections on roads that don’t have a stoplight. If you see one on your side of the road, you have to stop before proceeding further to make sure that no other cars (or people, bikes, etc.) are in the way.
If a cop sees you not stopping at a STOP sign, you are typically pulled over. Depending on the cop and the situation, when pulled over you may be able to worm your way out of a ticket by explaining why you didn’t stop, such as the sign was by a tree. I don’t think that type of excuse will fly in the following neighborhood. Check it out:
