As part of its plans to expand its pre-order program, Google has published a new video showing off a more realistic and fleshed out version of its upcoming wearable headset, Google Glass.

The current UI appears to be centered around a voice-activated command, “Ok glass.” The display will show a list of contextually-based actions you can take, and from there you’ll be able to do things like: take a picture or video, use Google Hangouts, ask for directions and translations and of course, search the web. Check it out!

Google is currently pushing out developer editions of the device that are priced at $1,500. The company is also looking for “bold, creative individuals” to be part of their expanded pre-order program. Applications for this program are done through Google+ or Twitter, and all you need to do is tell Google what you would do with Google Glass¬†with the hashtag #ifihadglass. Deadline is on February 27, and those chosen will need to pre-order a device for $1,500 and “attend a special pick-up experience, in person, in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.”

The company is aiming to launch the device by sometime in early 2014. With that, Google has shown that it’s serious about Google Glass and that the future of augmented reality is in good hands.

Ok glass. Take me to 2014 so I can buy one already!
