Gorgeous photo of aurora borealis over the Arctic Circle [Amazing Photo of the Day]

Aside from my wife, nothing is more beautiful than nature. One such example of the beauty of nature is a phenomenon called ‘aurora borealis’, also known as ‘northern lights’, which is “a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere “. While that may sound like a science experiment, auroras are actually very beautiful. I have one to show you today.

The following is a shot of an aurora borealis with a moonlight-enhanced foreground taken by a photographer in Longyearbyen, Svalbard (Norway). Check it out:

I believe the best word for the above photo is “wow”.

    Great article but it could be improved with the addition of just one word: Norway.
