About Windows Software of the Day

Windows has hundreds of thousands of programs. Because of this great volume and lack of a central store, software discovery (aka finding new and useful programs) is extremely difficult. With our Windows Software of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three programs, allowing our readers to discover new software, daily. Enjoy! [Subscribe to our Windows section to never miss an article: RSS Feed | E-mail]

Software for April 28, 2012

X-Proxy

Want an easier and more convenient way to manage proxies? Want to ensure anonymity when posting on the internet? Hide your IP with X-Proxy. Unlike most proxy sites, X-Proxy lets you apply and check the status of your proxy rather than just listing a large list of proxies.

Are certain sites banned in your country? Proxies are a good way around such bans, so long as your country’s filter isn’t too advanced. So if you’re looking for an easy way to switch proxies, perhaps to get around IP-based bans, X-Proxy is a good way to go.
