[Mac OS X] Build to-do lists with Cheddar, and sync them between your Mac, your iOS device, and the web

Screen Shot 2013-08-01 at 7.32.47 PM [1]Nearly everyone I know uses some form of to do list to stay organized. Some people prefer a more simple, list-driven interface. Some people use a to-do list system that’s part of a larger project management tracker. Whatever your style may be, finding the right app for that style can be daunting. One solid to do list app that can suit a variety of personal organizational styles is Cheddar, developed by Josh Long.

What is it and what does it do

Main Functionality

Cheddar is a simple app for creating to-do lists and setting productivity goals for the day.

mzl.iabxgggu.800x500-75 [2]The best thing about Cheddar is the interface. The app just has a great look that feels energizing, and it is so, so simple to use. Getting oriented takes seconds, and the app is just so darn intuitive. Adding new tasks is simple, as is arching old tasks.

Cheddar is a really great to do list management option for people who are on the go, or who work from multiple locations during the week. You can access your Cheddar info at any time from the Cheddar website, or you can run the Cheddar app from your iOS device. Any changes you make in one access point of Cheddar are updated to your other devices running the app.

If you feel like you’re not getting enough from the free version of Cheddar, you can upgrade for a pretty reasonable up-front cost. A Plus account is only $1.99 a month or $19.99 for the entire year. With a Plus account, you can create unlimited lists. You only get two lists with a free account.

Conclusion and download link

Overall, Cheddar provides a simple interface for people to create multiple to-do lists and get organized. While some users may feel the need to upgrade to a paid Plus account to get the most out of this Mac App, many users will be able to use the free version and have all of their needs met. The interface is bright, cheerful, and friendly: exactly what a beleaguered person needs to look at when they’re struggling to cross items off of a long to do list. It might sound cheesy, but Cheddar is a really nice app.
