How to get iOS 7 ‘silde to unlock’ feature on older firmwares [iOS]

iOS 7 is definitely one of the major changes Apple made this year . The OS hadn’t changed much since 2007 and it was time for Apple to make a move considering the intense competition it’s facing with Android . iOS 7 features many changes and enhancements and one of them is the lockscreen which has been completely revamped . The lockscreen’s interface and functionality is completely different compared to previous firmwares .

Those days are gone when we had to put our finger on the slider and slide it to unlock.  With iOS 7, you can just slide your finger left to right anywhere on the screen to unlock the device . If your on iOS 6 and wished you had this feature too then good news is that a recently released cydia tweak called Unlock7 allows users running iOS 6 to experience the iOS 7 ‘slide to unlock’ on their device . It also increases the font size of the clock giving it an iOS 7 look . Heres how it looks on an iPhone running iOS 6 :

Unfortunately Unlock7 only adds the unlock feature to iOS 6, it lacks the ability to redesign the lockscreen to look much like iOS 7 though you can download one from many Winterboard themes available on Cydia to get your device look as close as possible to the iOS 7 lockscreen .

So far, the tweak is working smoothly and I would recommend anyone with iOS 6 to grab this tweak as soon as poosible . It’s free and available on ModMyi repo .
