My female friends are the ones who usually act like this in my experience. “I’m a huge Star Trek fan, watched all the films and I love Darth Vader. But I was so shocked when Jean-Luc Picard became Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back, OMG.” Not that I’m being sexist; I just hang out with females a notch or two below my geek level so I can improve my self-esteem. Makes up for my lack of good looks.
