How to root Galaxy S6 G920F on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop (XXU1AOCV) [Guide]

Samsung Galaxy S6 [1]The Samsung Galaxy S6 is finding a new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop software update rolling out over the air. The new edition updates to the XXU1AOCV build number. Today I’ll show you how to root XXU1AOCV Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy S6. Here’s how:




  1. Download the CF-Auto-Root tool from here [3].
  2. Download Odin from here [4].
  3. use the desktop of the computer to download and extract both files.
  4. Run the Odin tool after extraction and leave it there.
  5. Completely switch off the S6 by holding down the Power button.
  6. Boot the S6 in Download Mode by pressing the Volume Down + Power + Home keys, keep them firmly pressed down until the screen changes.
  7. When you see the warning triangle and some text above it, it’s time to press the Volume Up key. Now you are in Download Mode.
  8. Connect the S6 to the Windows PC with the USB cable while in the Download Mode.
  9. Odin will now pick up your S6 smartphone and you are ready to start flashing.
  10. Click the PDA button inside the Odin program and upload the CF Root file that’s on the desktop (remember to right-click and select extract here).
  11. Leave the Auto reboot option checked.
  12. Leave the F reset Time box checked.
  13. Make sure the re-partition box is empty.
  14. Now click the Start button inside Odin and wait until your devices finishes flashing the rooting file.

The S6 will reboot and you can regain control of your Google account. The root access is complete and it’s time to start installing some nifty apps from Google Play. You might want to start with the root checker app and then BusyBox.
