Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 These are the guidelines to root Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3100 running on the Android 4.0.4 software update using the CF-Auto-Root tool and the Odin flashing tool from a computer running Windows operating systems.

We recommend waiting for a few days if your device has recently received a new software update available over the air. Sometimes new software updates can bring in new bootloader and when that happens Chainfire needs to update the files for them to work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have a Windows computer to use this guide otherwise you cannot get the flashing tool to run.
  • You must have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with the model number GT-P3100 to use this guide without bricking your device.
  • The CF-Auto-Root tool in this guide is base on the Android 4.0.3 software update with the build ID IML74K.P3100XWALD2. You can not need to be running that same IML74K.P3100XWALD2 firmware. It is to be used as a guide only. Some of the devices Samsung bring out do not boot older images.

BEFORE WE BEGIN
