[1]Sometimes nothing in the world sounds more appealing than rooting an Android device like the Huawei Mate 7. Other times you wish you hadn’t opened the ports to the internal system and wish you can be using the device with the same feel it had when you first opened it out of the box.
These are the instructions to unroot Huawei Ascend Mate 7 smartphones so you can go back to using your stock ROM just like your Huawei manufacturer intended.
REQUIREMENTS
- You must use this guide for the Huawei Mate 7 only. Make sure you do not flash the Mate 7’s stock ROM on any other device or else you might brick down that device. Try flashing the right stock ROM on your device if that happens to you and everything should be fine again.
- You should have rooted the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 smartphone before it makes any sense to unroot the device, unless you just want to attempt unbricking your current ROM.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
- Some Mate 7 devices may need to have the Developer Options menu unlocked if they are not available from the Settings. You can unlock the Developer Options menu by tapping on the Menu > Settings > About Device > Model Number 7 times.
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode on your Mate 7 now that you have the Developer Options unlocked by tapping on the Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging Mode.
HOW TO UNROOT HUAWEI ASCEND MATE 7
- Point your web browser on the computer top the Huawei website and download the stock ROM for your Mate7’s model number. These stock ROMs are usually model number specific, so make sure you download the right one.
- Copy the dload folder over to the root of the internal storage SD card.
- Click on the ‘Updater’ option from the menu.
- Click on the ‘Manual” option and the device will now search the SD card for your stock ROM that you copied earlier.
- The Huawei Mate 7 will start flashing the stock ROM.
In conclusion, you are now running the stock ROM and it has wiped the root access you have before on your Mate 7 device. You can continue to root and unroot as many times as you like and nothing different will wipe. Furthermore, you will continue to find the warranty works each time you successfully unroot the device,. There is no flash counter or any way the Huawei manufacturer will know you have had a rooted device beforehand.
