App Genie Lite

App Genie Lite is a multiple purpose app that gives you about 30 different functions that you can use without having multiple other apps clogging up your device on multiple screens or folder groups. This app includes Country Facts, Shopping (a barcode scanner), Unit Converter, Checklists, Where Am I?, Currency, Device Stats, Translator, Battery Level, Voice Reader, Facebook Tool, Nutrition Info, Clock, Tool Case (which includes Bubble Level, Clinometer, Ruler, Plumb-bob, and Flashlight), Gauges (which includes a Spedometer and a Sound Meter), Tip Calculator, US Weather, Cam Tools (which includes Click Anywhere Cam, Shake Cam, Clap Cam, Burst Cam), Photo Icons, Amazing Facts, and a Magnifier.

In the Lite version you get to pick three different apps for free, but if you want more you’d either have to pay for it from within the app or buy the App Genie (30 in 1) for the low price of $0.99. Although some apps require an Internet connection, but the testing device couldn’t get these to work since it gave an error stating that it “could not connect to the server” and to “check your Internet connection.” Maybe this might work on a different device or there is something wrong with the app that needs to be fixed.

Cooking

Cooking is an app that will help you whenever you get stuck when you are preparing a meal. It contains all the little bits of information and rules of thumb that you need to really use and understand your recipes like what can be substituted for buttermilk or baking soda in a pinch, how many bananas it takes to make 1 cup of slices, how many cups are in a pint, and what temperature an oven should be set to if the recipe calls for a “moderately hot” oven. This has sections for Yields and Equivalents which includes canning yields, Substitutions, General Cooking Terms, Measurement Conversions, and High-Altitude Considerations. This app is a one-stop reference for all the extra information you need to help understand your recipes to help you get Cooking.
