Stable version of CyanogenMod 9 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is now available

CyanogenMod is a popular after-market third-party developed custom ROM for Android devices, phones and tablets. The goal of CyanogenMod is to supercharge your Android experience by adding features, functionality, stability, and speed not found in many stock devices. Another goal of CyanogenMod is to keep devices up-to-date with latest Android iterations: As Google releases new versions of Android, CyanogenMod is updated for all supported devices to that new version of Android. Until recently the latest “stable” version (i.e. the version that the average Joe can use) of CyanogenMod was 7.2. Now, however, CyanogenMod 9 stable has been released. This CyanogenMod 9 brings Ice Cream Sandwich to all supported devices.

CyanogenMod 9 not only brings Ice Cream Sandwich goodies but it has changes to CyanogenMod like a new launcher, support for themes, and other stuff you won’t find in stock Ice Cream Sandwich. If you are brazen enough to mod your Android device, you should give CyanogenMod a try; it is the standard when it comes to custom ROMs. Anyone interested in CyanogenMod can hit up the link below to download it or read dotTech’s guide on how to install it. Note that you need a rooted device to install CyanogenMod.
