Google Calendar is a definitely a reliable tool that you can use to keep track and manage different events. The thing with it is it cannot automatically identify and remove duplicate events. So if ever there were times where you’ve mistakenly input the same event twice, Google Calendar will not inform you that such event already exists. You need to manually look it up.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to automatically remove duplicate events in Google Calendar. It can be made possible through the use of a third-party app. For this method, you will need to use your Chrome web browser.

How to automatically remove duplicate events in Google Calendar

• Download and then install a free third-party browser application called “Delete & Edit Multiple Google Calendar Events”.
• After you’ve succeeded in installing the said app, just open or launch it via Chrome’s app launcher.

• Moving on, you will be taken to the GCalToolKit Online page. You can leave the register new account section blank to run the free demo.

• What’s next? Just click the “Connect to Google Calendar” button.
• Connect the Google Calendar account that you want. Click “Accept” on the confirmation page to proceed.
• On the next page, you’ll see a list of the calendars that you are using. Make sure that the calendar that you want to check is listed.

• Click “Next” to confirm.
• Now, go ahead and select the calendar that you want to load.
• Click the “Load my Calendar into GCalToolKit” button to confirm.
• On the results page, scroll down to see the lists of events. The duplicate events will be automatically marked and highlighted in red.

• To delete the duplicate events, just click make sure that you check its corresponding entry under the “Remove” section.

• Click the “SYNC TO GCAL” button to proceed with your request.
• That’s it. The changes that you’ve made will be automatically synced to your Google Calendar.

So go ahead and check your Google Calendar again and you’ll find that the duplicates no longer exists there.
