Flower Board provides a new twist on the matching genre of games. The game starts out with 72 empty hexagonal shapes that are basically flower pots. As the flowers bloom (2, 3, or 4 at a time depending on the difficulty level), the goal is to match 6 adjacent flowers of the same color. In any one turn you can move a flower from one flower pot to any other, as long as there is clear path between them. The major challenge for the user is that more flowers are blooming per every move you make and consequently cutting off avenues that can be taken to achieve color matches.
The game seems a bit more complicated than it actually is. In reality, Flower Board can be quite a relaxing game for the user, because you aren’t timed and therefore have plenty of time to strategize your next (flower) move. There are also 3 different difficulty levels that you can play around with to see what you enjoy the most. The easier games can go on for awhile and resemble a Zen mode, which some users might enjoy better than a harder level that is over quite quickly. Flower Board also provides an option to preview where the next flowers are blooming, so if you want a serious challenge, you would want to turn that off.
As a bonus, Flower Board provides power flowers (rainbow and lightning) and a wild card flower to help you along the way. There is also a very convenient undo button (that works up to 50 times) that will help go back and choose a different move that lead to a bad result.
