This is why I love Gmail [Image]

Yeah, yeah — I know Gmail has its fair share of issues related to privacy. But I still love Gmail, and this is an example why. How many other emails warn you that you intended to attach a file but never really did?

I don’t get it, Ashraf. With all the NSA stuff, Google being evil, and ads in general (I like the red-bar adverts, btw.), why on earth do you use free webmail at all? Of course, I also use Gmail a LOT but I almost never access it through a browser for send/reading mail. From the desktop, I can encrypt my important email before it leaves my machine and access multiple Gmail accounts from one app (I use POP Peeper).

Outlook and (don’t laugh) IncrediMail both alert for missing attachments.

I “love” Gmail for its message filtering abilities.

[@Bruce Fraser] I was referring to web mail. Plus, I have no doubt others have copied it but Gmail was one of the first, if not first, to have this.

Thunderbird, the one I use. In fact, I expect most modern email programs do the same.
