I found a workaround that solves the problem: install the free Desktop Visualizer app and then use that app to create a shortcut and make sure haptic feedback/vibration are selected. Not sure why this works but it does.

for some reason this no longer works for me. I’m using an Xperia Z3 compact and Chrome. When I press on a bookmark on the home screen it goes to Chrome but the bookmark page doesn’t open unless all the other tabs are already closed in Chrome. Any idea why this is?
